The Natural Beauty of Mount Kirkjufell Will Induce You to Fly To Iceland
Well, you
don’t think that you’re in dream? These’re splendid beauty of a mountain which
is called Kirkjufell, is a 463m high mountain on the north coast of Iceland's
Snæfellsnes peninsula and near the town of Grundarfjoraur. The summit of dazzling
Kirkjufell is over 1,500 feet above sea level, actually a biggest landmark in
the village of nearly 1000 residents. Kirkjufell stands on a little
peninsula of its own, a spectacular backdrop for the multicolored Icelandic
sky. If you want to visit Mount Kirkjufell, then you'll have to take a day trip
by bus from a bigger city in Iceland, like Reykjavic. Once you get there, you’ll
be repaying by an otherworldly journey to grasp the Northern Lights, starry
nights, and some exquisite waterfalls. The best time to catch the Northern
Lights in Iceland is between September and January.
Iceland is the most exotic place
in the world, with its wonderful lava fields, stunning coastlines, magical
glaciers and fantastic waterfalls. Therefore it is possible to climb Kirkjufell
Mountain normally takes about one hour and 30 minutes or so to reach the top. And
you’ll be amazed by view from the top, which is quite remarkable. The hike
towards the peak is not for those who suffer from vertigo because it is quite perfidious.
But it is very rewarding once you get to the top.Source: Charismatic Planet

Alamere Falls California
What more could you ask for! A
beautiful Alamere Falls is a waterfall in Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin
County, California. Alamere Falls is a waterfall that flows directly into the
ocean. It is one of only two in the area the other being McWay Falls. It is extremely
pretty with astonishing ocean views and lush vegetation especially in spring. The
falls can be reached by following the Coast Trail from the Palomarin Trailhead.
After about a mile and a half, the trail will pass along two small lakes (Bass
Lake and Pelican Lake). Bass Lake can be accessed by a side trail that leads to
a rope swing, and hikers will often stop for a swim during summer months.
You need to be very carefully scrambled
down to Alamere Creek, which is a bit steep. Then you must cross Alamere Creek,
which may be difficult in high water. At this place a pretty upper cascade is
viewed, three separate cascades approximately 30 feet. in total height. Well, from
the top of the cliff, you can have a nice side view of Alamere Falls itself,
dropping 40 feet down onto the beach. To get down to the beach, you must
carefully scramble down the cliff. This is daring route and not for everyone.
The cliffs are very brittle, and a fall here could cause a severe injury. It
may be wild imagination, but it seems to have gotten worse in the last many years.
Visitors managed carefully get
down to the beach carrying, and did not think it was all too bad. But this time
around, it is believed too dangerous to consider taking a baby down. Once down
at the beach, you will be treated to a wonderful experience, standing beside a
40 feet waterfall on the ocean. It is a lot more inspiring in the winter months
after there has been a lot of rain. Be sure to check the tide charts before
coming here because at high tide, it is likely that the ocean waves will be
coming right up to the cliff, and it’ll be difficult to get down to the base of
the falls. If there has been a lot of topical rain, you may aspiration to
consider hiking up the beach for a couple more miles. There’re lot of waterfalls
(Phantom Falls and Horsetail Falls) which are reachable from this waterfall.

The Little Tourlitis Lighthouse perched on the islet of Tourlitis Greece.
The charismatic little Tourlitis
Lighthouse is beautifully perched on the islet of Tourlitis, a chunk of rock
opposite the harbor at Chora, on Andros Island. The lighthouse is situated
about 200 meters out to the sea. This is Greece’s first modern lighthouse and
the most striking lighthouse in the world. A flight of stairs carved into the
rocks lead to the lighthouse.
The Tourlitis Lighthouse is the only Greek
lighthouse to be built completely by Greek hands, and also the nation’s only
wave-swept rock sentinel, visible to the brunt of heavy seas. This is the first
automatic lighthouse of the Greek lighthousing system, as the lighthouse keeper
doesn't really reside there. The history tells us, the first lighthouse here
was built in 1897.
However it was destroyed after the Second
Word War, a simple scaffold tower was erected on Tourlitis. The present
lighthouse is a striking replica of the original, and was built in 1990s at the
expenses of Alexandros Goulandris, an oil tycoon of Andros Island. Goulandris
and his wife devoted the lighthouse in memory of their deceased daughter
Violanda.
