Willow Peak, Egypt

 

Willow Peak is a mountain in the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. It is also known as or Ras es-Safsafeh. The mountain peak overlooks Saint Catherine's Monastery, and is situated about one kilometer to the west. Christian custom considers the Willow Peak Mountain to be the biblical Mount Horeb. It is part of the mountainous region that includes Mount Sinai (Jebel Musa), a place of great religious and historical significance. Ras es-Safsafeh is characterized by its rugged terrain and dramatic cliffs, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It's often associated with the biblical story of Moses, adding to its spiritual importance for visitors.
